Studio Toggle designed this group of chalets in Bnaider to congregate around a T-shaped pool that brings the water's edge closer to all living spaces.
The narrow site dictated that the buildings be staggered around a circulation axis to maximise the sea view and breeze. The T-shaped infinity pool facilitated this by becoming the focal point of the developement and extended the horizon inwards.
The development is a choreographed collection of independent cottages staggered in plan and section to maximise the sea views and the privacy. The composition affords incremental vistas towards the sea culminating in a reveal that connects the pool edge with the horizon. Staggered terraces offer private and exclusive views to the back chalets.
The minimal palette and multiple stepped plazas offering sheltered seating make the design reminiscent of an idyllic Mediterranean village.
